Install the chat widget on your website

Copy the install snippet, allowed domains, and platform-specific tips for WordPress, Shopify, and tag managers.

Owners and admins install the widget from Configure → Chat widget → Install.

Install steps

  1. Copy the script from the Install tab. It loads https://chat.adrianhq.co/loader.js with your data-workspace-id.

  2. Paste it immediately before the closing </body> tag on every page where chat should appear.

  3. Publish your site and hard-refresh. The launcher appears in the corner you chose under Position (bottom left or right).

Allowed domains

If Allowed domains is configured, the widget only runs on listed hosts. Add both example.com and www.example.com when customers use either.

Pre-chat form and starters

  • Pre-chat form — Collect name, email, or custom fields before the first message.

  • Conversation starters — Suggested questions visitors can tap.

  • Automatic reply — Optional bot message right after the visitor’s first message.

Content Security Policy

Allow at least:

  • https://chat.adrianhq.co

  • https://api.adrianhq.co

Ad blockers or strict CSP rules are a common reason the script never runs.

Troubleshooting

If the widget does not show, follow Chat widget not appearing.
